Transfermarkt expert Fabrizio Romano has disclosed that a potential move away from Napoli for Victor Osimhen is far-fetched.

The Super Eagles striker has been linked with a move away from Naples after falling out with the club over a mockery social media video.

The 24-year-old turned down a lucrative offer to join the Saudi Pro League in the summer as he decided to stay at Naples for another season.

The Nigerian international however fancy a move to the Premier League with some of the top Premier League sides reportedly interested in his signature.

Fabrizio Romano disclosed that the ex-Lille striker still dreams of Premier League football and clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping tabs on him.

“So, while I would not rule Saudi out, the priority, from what I’m hearing, is still Europe. The player is still dreaming of Premier League football, it’s always been his biggest dream. That’s why clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal are keeping an eye on the situation,” the Sky Sports journalist noted.

Fabrizio however noted that a move in January looks highly unlikely as he believes the club will be unwilling to sell the Nigerian international.

“Chelsea have been linked again and again with Osimhen, but from what I’m hearing a move in January is still very difficult. Napoli don’t want to sell in the middle of the season”.
