'9 over 10' – Fans rating of Mudryk different from Mourinho's initial comment on £88m signing

Following his debut for the Blues against Liverpool in the Premier League last Saturday, some Nigerian Premier League followers have shared their thoughts on the performance of Chelsea's new signing Mykhailo Mudryk.

The 22-year-old Ukrainian came on as a second-half substitute for Lewis Hall in the 55th minute as the game ended in a disappointing goalless draw at Anfield.

Expectations were high considering his big-money move to Stamford Bridge as the winger showed glimpses of what is to come for the Blues.

Per fans' evaluation, the young Ukrainian put up a decent performance against the Reds on his debut and many believe he will be a great signing for the London club.

Mudryk recorded 28 touches, completed 2/3 dribbles, won 3/3 tackles with an overall rating of 7.1 as per Fotmob.

Recall that coach Jose Mourinho had taken a swipe at his former club following their £88million capture of Mudryk.

After using Marash Kumbulla as cover for the banned Roger Ibanez during Roma’s win, he said: “In order to get that quality, we must get the young players to grow. [Benjamin] Tahirovic has this quality.

“We need a defender who can pass the ball better out of defense and Kumbulla is probably the one who does it best, but we need Ibanez because of his pace and determination. We need to find a solution, we can’t just buy Mudryk for £90million!"

Todd Boehly has spent huge sums of money since taking over Chelsea in May. He has, so far, scooped Wesley Fofana, Raheem Sterling and Marc Cucurella in the summer.

Here are some ratings from fans

_@Oluwadamilola Ajayi:That boy was the only spark in that Chelsea attack yesterday. His movements and vision to pick short passes in tight places, making the right runs, that boy was good yesterday. He did almost everything perfectly right. I hope he has a bad day when he faces Manutd
