Nigeria won big at the 2023 CAF Awards held in Marrakesh, Morocco on Monday, December 11.
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen clinched the biggest award of the night as the Napoli forward was named the Men's Player of the Year.
The 24-year-old has become the first Nigerian star to win the award since Nwankwo Kanu in 1999.
Asisat Oshoala also took home the Women's Player of the Year award. The Barcelona striker has now claimed the award for a record sixth time.
Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie won the Women’s Goalkeeper of The Year.
To cap it all, the Super Falcons were also adjudged the Women’s Team of The Year.
The prizes were decided based on votes by media representatives, coaches and captains of national teams.
