'Being a baby mama is not a job' - Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri Reno Omokri

Nigerian lawyer and writer, Reno Omokri, has said that "being a baby mama is not a job".

While addressing his 793.2K Twitter followers with his #RenosNuggets, he was quick to discredit the act of having children outside marriage.

According to Reno, children should not be used as a means of livelihood by parents, rather, children should be brought into a stable home with a stable income.

"Being a baby mama is not a job. If you want an income, go get a job, instead of getting pregnant. Bringing a baby into this world without a marriage, a stable home and a stable income is a wicked thing to do. A child is not a means to a livelihood."

Replying to Reno's tweet, @ATasteOfAfrica7 said, "Same for baby daddy's! Let them heed who, when & where they spread their seeds! There will be no baby mamas if the seed of baby daddies weren't carelessly planted. Let those who plant the seed nurture & care for their crops & stop dumping their responsibilities on baby mama's."

Another follower, @mkadirimedia, said that "However children get here, what is important is that they are loved. Not all family structures are the same. Some single mothers offer stable homes and love to their children too. Who knows how the next great African leader will get here?"
