Twitter Users have begun to share stories of what they were doing when they aged seventeen.

The discourse became a big deal when @UgwunnaEjikem warned guys to avoid sexually mature ladies that were below the age of 18.

In a viral tweet, he wrote:

Taking his followers on sexual orientation class, he told them that sexual consent can only be obtained if the participant was 18 contrary to unfounded rumours pegging sexual consent to the age of 17.

@DrOlufunmilayo went further by running a thread on the matter. She explained that a jail sentence was awaiting sex offenders who sleep with 17 years olds. Boys or girls.

She tweeted:
