The First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari has been attacked on social media by Nigerians after she advised parents to stay at home with their kids over coronavirus tension.

In a tweet, Aisha Buhari stated that parents are exposed to the virus if allowed to go to work while their children remain at home due to schools shut down by State Governments and the Federal Government.

She tweeted: "It is commendable that state governors have closed down schools; however, this could be counterproductive if parents are still going to work. We should not isolate students and expose their parents. Let us remember that they will meet at home. #TotalLockDown #StayAtHome."

Below are some of the reactions gathered by MyNigeria.com after Aisha Buhari gave the advice.
