Twitter users have taken to social media to critique herdsmen under the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore.

This was in a reaction to a trending story where the cattle herders warned Yoruba elites to give up calls for “Amotekun operation”, a regional security outfit, or risk the 2023 presidency.

National Secretary of the group, Alhassan Saleh described it as political during an interview.

“It is best they give up on this idea because it may affect the chances of the South-West to produce the President in 2023. The thinking is that if the South-West, a major stakeholder in this government, can be toying with this idea now, they may do worse when they get to power," Saleh reacted.

Twitter users were livid in their reactions.

Joa Oyeneye said, "So, it's Miyetti Allah that is now determining who becomes the President of Nigeria. Arifin Ile Igbe.

Bankole felt the same way

Muyiwa said, "The southwest shouldn't negotiate with anyone/group that seeks to compromise on its collective intellectuality. The people want #amotekun & #Nigeria will be better for it."
