An Instagram user, identified as Dr. Chioma Nwakanma, with the username @DrZobo, has dished out a piece of advice to married women and expectant mother.

Her advise buttresses on women's perception about giving birth through the Caesarian Section, popularly called CS, as many do not like the idea of delivery through CS and would rather go through pains of natural delivery.

According to her, women stand the risk of womb rupture and the only escape to that is birth through CS.

A 2019 report by the BBC said that "Nigeria has one of the world’s highest maternal mortality rates. One reason? Patients often decline C-sections, even when it could save lives."

"Across Nigeria, 58,000 women die in childbirth every year, giving the country the world’s fourth-highest maternal mortality rate. Part of the problem is the country’s low Caesarean rate: just 2%. The global rate is 21%. Meanwhile, there’s just one doctor for every 6,000 people in the country," the report added.

In DrZobo's address, she urged pregnant women to embrace CS, if need be, because their lives matter.

"Dear women, note that after two consecutive (back to back) Caesarian sections, you should not attempt to push for the next delivery. CS is advised or you risk womb rupture.

"Your life comes first, don't be pressured to be a 'Hebrew woman'! CS isn't a sin," she said.
