The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, has taken a step against the incessant killings in Nigeria by declaring a spiritual protest nationwide today.

This is in line with the three days fasting and prayer declared by the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, against the killings of Christians scheduled for Jan. 31 - Feb. 2.

The spiritual protest will involve a prayer walk around the environment where all RCCG churches are located.

Adeboye made the announcement during the February thanksgiving Sunday service at the church headquarters in Lagos.

MyNigeria reported earlier that CAN announced that there will be prayer walk around the locality of each church with Christians pronouncing ‘Jesus, the Prince of Peace as Lord’ and displaying placards with the inscription, ‘No to further killings.’
