INEC officials, security agents stranded as scarcity of hotels hit Kogi ahead of poll

There are reports that hotels in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State are overbooked as the governorship poll approaches.

According to rife reports, the area is experiencing a surge in activities as all hotels and recreational centers are fully booked ahead of the election scheduled for November 11.

The Nations reports that visitors arriving in the city are facing challenges securing accommodation due to the forthcoming governorship election.

The Confluence State is witnessing heavy traffic and increased movement around areas such as Galaga Junction, Kabba Junction, and Sabo Market.

Several hotels in Lokoja have reportedly reached their full capacity as room reservations flood in from various sources.

Government officials, political parties, Non-Governmental Organizations, and election observers are among those securing accommodations for the event.

Notably, many officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission, security agents, and reporters involved in election duties are facing challenges finding available rooms.
