A communal clash between Boku and Doko communities in the Lavun local government area of Niger State has led to the death of three people with 30 sustaining various forms of injuries.

The clash led to the destruction of several houses, vehicles while livestock were stolen in the Boku community.

According to The Nations, the clash of these communities over land is the norm.

It was gathered that while efforts to settle the dispute was ongoing, some youths from Doko sprayed chemical on a disputed farm and were attacked by Boku youths.

Doko youths reportedly mobilized and went to Boku in revenge attack.

A resident of Boku community, Mohammed Alikali said two persons died instantly during the attack while the third person died at Federal Medical Centre Bida while receiving treatment, The Nation said.

Police spokesman Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the incident, saying investigation had begun.
