Taxi crushes staff of waste management company in Ibadan

A woman who is identified as a staff of the Oyo State Waste Management Authority was hit by a taxi this morning in the state as she carried on her duties.

Reports at the scene of the incident said the incident happened when the taxi reversed and crushed the woman at Ojulowo Bus stop, Veterinary, Mokola Ibadan.

An eye witness put the blame on the taxi driver who didn’t observe his environment before attempting to reverse his vehicle.

“If you watch carefully, you will see that the woman was carrying out her duty at the side of the road and not in any way close to the main road. so it is the man that did not observe well before reversing his car."

"They are fond of rushing especially when there is rush. Now he has put himself and the woman in trouble in the new year” the witness said

The victim was said to have been rushed to the nearest hospital.
