Controversial blogger Tunde Ednut has questioned Reno Omokri's motive for turning a blind eye to the large gathering led by the former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido.

As part of measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the country, the federal government placed a ban on large gatherings.

A photo has gone viral of the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria addressing a crowd at his turbanning caliph, which many believe is in contradiction to the coronavirus protocols placed by the federal government.

According to Tunde Ednut, Reno Omokri has failed to voice out after the police ignored the crowd which had gathered to listen to an address by the dethroned Emir of Kano but stormed a nightclub to arrest patrons.

Reno Omokri is a controversial lawyer and author known to speak on issues pertaining to the government and happenings in the country.

The blogger tweeted these;

"@renoomokri - This is the former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido, addressing a crowd at his turbanning caliph. If this were a hotel in Kaduna, @Nelrufai would demolish it. If it were Cubana club in Lagos, the @policenglagos would arrest everyone there. Is there one law for some Nigerians, and another for others?"
