Train/BRT crash: We begged driver to wait but he refused - Survivor narrates

Following the accident that occurred on Thursday, March 9 at PWD area of Lagos, a survivor has shared her ordeal.

In an interview with one of the survivors of the accident named Titilayo, she narrated how the crash happened.

According to Titilayo, the passengers begged the driver to stop for inother to allow the train to pass by he refused which led to the loss of lives and injury of many who were on board the vehicle.

She said;

“The incident happened around 7.15am. When we got to the intersection at PWD in Ikeja, the driver continued driving. Passengers inside the bus, including myself, begged him to wait for the train to pass before crossing, but he didn’t listen.

“Midway, just before he could finish crossing the rail tracks, the accident happened. Many of us were rushed here, while five others were taken to Gbagada General Hospital.”
