A pastor with the Evangelical Church Winning All in Samaru Kataf, in the Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Rev. Silas Ali, who was killed by suspected bandits, has been buried.

Ali was found dead with machete wounds between Zango town and his work station in Kibori on Sunday, September 11, 2021. Tears flowed freely on Wednesday as family members and sympathisers paid their last respect to the deceased during a funeral service.

The ECWA General Secretary, Rev. Yunusa Nmadu, during the service in Samaru, challenged leaders who swore to protect lives and property to wake up to their responsibility to avoid the wrath of God.

Yunusa, while consoling the people, urged them to join the church in crying to God to take charge of the insecurity in the land.In his sermon, the officiating minister, Rev. Jonathan Nkom, appealed to the bereaved family to take solace in God as he prayed God to expose those who murdered the cleric and 11 other members of his congregation.

While reading from 1st Corinthians 9:24, Nkom asked the congregation to reflect on their lives and change their ways towards Christ, saying no one knew when and how the circumstances of his death would be.

In a condolence message, the National President, Atyap Community Development Association, Samuel Achie, warned those attacking innocent and harmless people in the community to stop in the interest of peace.
