Several cars destroyed as fire razes Federal Secretariat in Abuja

The Federal Secretariat building in Abuja has been gutted by fire. The structure is said to houses major government offices in the Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.

A Facebook user, Adamu Idris Ahmed, said that about 20 cars have been affected by the fire although the fire service are at the scene to quench the inferno.

Recently there have been reports of fire outbreaks across the country.

In January, about 100 shops were also burnt down by fire in Kugbo, one of Abuja's largest furniture markets.

It was reported that the fire destroyed materials worth millions of naira leaving business owners to count their loses.
