Despite calls by several top government officials against the second wave of #EndSARS protests, some protesters hit the streets of Osun State capital, Oshogbo demanding the release of all detained colleagues and unfreezing of their accounts by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The Nations reported that the protesters converged at the Ogo-Oluwa area and marched to the Osun State House of Assembly along with the State Secretariat, Abere.

The placards read: “We are not fighting for any political party”, “#End Bad Judiciary in Nigeria”,” #End fake judicial panel of Inquiry in Osun”, “Unfreeze all the frozen account”,” We are Nigerian youths” among others.

Meanwhile, security operatives have been deployed to the Lekki toll plaza in Lagos to halt another round of #EndSARS protests.

Some motorists told The Punch that the security operatives were deployed around midnight.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, did not respond to calls on Monday morning, The Punch reports.

However, both the military and the police authorities had warned several times last week that they would not allow another round of protests to take place.
