Rivers State: Edison Ehie emerges new speaker, Justice Simeon Amadi suspended

The Former Majority leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Edison Ehie has emerged the new Speaker of the state Assembly.

This is following the altercation that occurred today in Port Harcourt.

In the heels of the confusion and seeming battles between the state governor Siminalayi Fubara and some members of the state House of Assembly, the youths in the state has protested in support of Fubara.

Some residents have also said what is happening in the state is likened to the Biblical voice of Jacob and body of Esau and a result of falling out between the governor or and his political godfather, Nyesom Wike.

Meanwhile, the Chief Judge of Rivers State, Simeon Amadi has been suspended.
