Residents Gidan-goga village in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State have reportedly paid the N20 million levy imposed on them by bandit leader, Bello Turji to avoid being attacked by his men.

According to reports, the bandit leader asked the residents to pay the said amount before Sunday, November 27, or face his wrath.

A resident of the community who spoke to the press said the money was paid before the deadline as villagers who fled to avoid potential attacks have started returning to their homes.
