Osun government clarifies incident involving governor's wife, police orderly

The Osun state government has revealed that the mild incident involving the wife of the State Governor, Titilola Adeleke and her orderly was not deliberate.

The state government made the clarification in a statement issued by Nafisat Soliu, the Media Assistant to Titilola Adeleke ok Monday.

"Mrs Adeleke got stuck while trying to fix her jewelries to dress up for an event and the Police officer who was there incidentally offered to help her fix it.

"It is never a practice for police officers within Government House to be involved in such activities.

We wish to inform the public that there is a standing rule for all principal officers and top functionaries of the state government never to engage their security details in any domestic or unofficial engagement," the statement ended.

The video of the police orderly attending to the wife of the governor had gone viral with many persons condemning and berating Titilola Adeleke for using individuals paid with the tax payers money to be used as domestic staff.
