The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has announced that passengers must wear a face mask before they can be allowed into terminals.

FAAN gave the protocol ahead of a plan by the Federal Government to lift the ban placed on interstate travel due to coronavirus.

"You must wear a face mask to be able to gain access into the terminal building", FAAN disclosed on Twitter.

Meanwhile, five airports have been approved for resumption on June 21 by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

The airports include Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja, Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos, Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport Kano, Omagwa International Airport, Port Harcourt and Sam Mbakwe Airport Owerri.
