Nigerian Army allegedly brutalise Ikom youths for chasing herders from their community

The youths in Nde village, Ikom LGA in Cross Rivers state, has accused the Nigerian army for attacking some male residents for chasing away herdsmen from their community.

About 10 youths have been reported to have been brutalised by some soldiers. Following the assault, the residents are calling in the state government to come to their aid.

According to the community leaders, the youth appealed to the herdsmen to vacate their farmlands after their cattle destroyed almost all their crops.

The residents claim they are peaceful people and request that the herdsmen and army let them be without harassments.
