Mrs Grace Taiwo, Communication Director of Xploit Consulting Ltd. on Thursday said that the organisation had offered 30 students scholarships into primary schools in the FCT.

Taiwo, while handing over the beneficiaries to the school authorities in Abuja, said that the organisation decided to offer scholarships since education was a key to success.

She advised the parents and the school authorities to always monitor the children both at home and in school to make sure they take their studies seriously.

“Xploit consulting with support from Access Bank Plc decided to offer the pupils free admission into government schools.

“We all know that education is the key to success, we also know that our young children are our leaders of tomorrow, so we are offering them this opportunity to better their future.

“We made sure that the students we offer the scholarship are out of school, those children that their parents cannot afford to put them in school,” she said.

Taiwo said that the organisation selected three government primary schools in Abuja. She added that the students were drawn from Bwari, Kuje and Gwagwalada Area Councils in the FCT.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the three schools include, Local Education Authority, (LEA) Primary School, Dawaki.

Mrs Mary Makama, Headmistress of LEA Primary School, Dawaki, who spoke on behalf of other heads of the schools appreciated the gesture by the organisations.

Makama said that the scholarship given to the children was a great offer that would change the history of the students for the better. She urged the parents and guardians to ensure that the children were always in school at the right time.

According to her, I am calling on the parents/guardians of these students to be vigilant about the whereabouts of their wards.

“The parents/guardians should ensure that these children will not go back to the street hawking again,” she said.

Mr Shaibu Sambo, one of the parents of the beneficiaries urged other parents to ensure that their wards embrace their studies.

“We as parents should make sure that our wards take their studies very serious, by assisting them to do all their assignments and other necessary issues,” he said.

Miss Fatima Abdullamid, one of the beneficiaries, said that she dropped out of school while she was in primary five.

“My parents cannot afford my school fees when I dropped out of school, I decided to engage in street hawking to see if I can get money to start my education.

“But today, I want to thank Xploits consulting Ltd and Access Bank plc I am back to school again.

“I promise to embrace my studies and I will ensure I make my family, the school, the organisations and my country, Nigeria proud,” she said.
