To commemorate the 60th independence anniversary of the country on Thursday, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu hosted 60 primary school children from across the state mentoring them on leadership and continued unity of Nigeria.

The get together with the children tagged, ‘Independence Day Conversation With Nigeria’s Future Diamonds’ took place at the Lagos House, Marina, Lagos.

Sanwo-Olu advised the children to believe in Nigeria and see themselves as to its future leaders, adding that they are the future of the country.

He told them that they must believe in the country and their dreams to take the country to the greatest height.

Some of the children who told him about their future aspirations asked him several questions, including what he was doing to feed the homeless and provide shelter for the less privileged in Lagos as well as school resumption and time for common entrance into secondary school.
