Reports indicate that a building in Arowojobe Estate Maryland, Lagos State, has collapsed.

It has been gathered that three persons have been reported dead, with many injured.

The unfortunate incident happened on Thursday morning, July 25, 2024. Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASEMA, are present at the scene of the incident to embark on a rescue operation.

The LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Femi Oke-Osanyitolu, confirmed the incident and said two persons were rescued alive from the rubble.

“Three adult males were recovered dead, two male adults were rescued alive, and one adult male trapped under the rubble was rescued alive by the LASEMA and the Lagos State Fire Service.

“All the six men were site workers. They are receiving pre-hospital care on location while SEHMU has been contacted for the remains of the 3 fatalities,” Oke-Osanyitolu said.
