LG chairman dies in Kebbi

Muhammad Bello, the chairman of Maiyama Local Government Area of the Kebbi State is dead.

His demise was announced by the Kebbi State Government.

A statement made available to the press by the spokesman for the state governor, Ahmed Idris said the deceased died early this morning and will be buried later in the day.

The statement read, “Regrettably, with heavy heart, I announce the death of Hon. Zayyanu Muhammad Bello, Executive Chairman of Maiyama local Government.

“He died early this morning at UDUTH Sokoto after a protracted illness.”

The statement further disclosed that the time for burial will be communicated to the public.
