Katsina govt ready to receive second batch of coronavirus vaccines

All is set for the commencement of the second batch of COVID-19 vaccination exercises within the week in Katsina State.

The vaccine meant to be administered to all frontline workers such as medical and media practitioners as well as security personnel including strategic leaders.

And for the first dose, the state has so far reached out to over 80 percent coverage of the total target of one percent.

On March 10th, 2021, Katsina State received a total of 107,540 doses of Oxford AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine meant for vaccinating all frontline workers particularly medical and media practitioners as well as security personnel including the strategic leaders in the state.Barely 69 days after the commencement of the first batch of the vaccine out to cater for one percent of the Katsina total population of about nine million, over 80 percent coverage of the total target has been reached out.
