Identities of residents killed by herdsmen in fresh attacks on Plateau community

Following the attack on residents of Plateau State which led to the death of three men, the names of the three men who were killed in Monday attack has been revealed.

On Monday, September 6, 2021, three men were killed by some suspected herdsmen in the Bassa Local Government Area.

In a publication cited on SaharaReporters, the victims involved include; Gya Evi, 60-years-old; Sunday Nah, 45-years-old; and Friday Yakubu, 40-years-old.

Publicity Secretary of the Miango Youth Development Association, Nuhu Bitrus Nga confirmed the death of the three men murdered at Ruwienku.

According to reports, the attacks were carried out in two villages; the first attack happened on Sunday evening in Kwachudu community leading to the beheading of a herdsman.

However, members of the Irigwe ethnic group have been accused by the State Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Malam Nura Abdullahi of beheading one Musa Sale and injuring Abdulsalam Nuhu Kwachudu area.

The Irigwe ethnic group on their part, denied the allegation.

Following the attack on Sunday evening, two members of Irigwe group were reported killed on Monday morning in Ruwienku community.

Spokesman for Irigwe Development Association (IDA), Malison David indicated that the attack on its group was carried out by the Fulani, but they also denied the accusations, adding that they had no hand in the attack on the two dead men.

These attacks comes barely five days after two groups embarked on a peace meeting with Governor Simon Lalong.
