Former Deputy Senate President Mantu dies at 74

Former Deputy Senate President, Ibrahim Mantu is dead. The news of his demise was confirmed by a family source who spoke to The Nations.

He is reported to have died on Monday night in an Abuja hospital after a brief illness.

He was 74.

"Yes, it’s true. We just received the news of his demise last night at a hospital in Abuja," the source said.

“He has been ill for some time and was again rushed to the hospital in Abuja but unfortunately he died.”
