Buhari reacts to explosion at Abule Ado, condoles with families of victims

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has reacted to the explosion which rocked Abule Ado in AMuwo Odofin Local Government in Lagos State.

The explosion which was earlier mistaken to have occurred as a result of pipeline vandalization was caused by a factory located in the area, the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, stated.

In a statement issued by Garba Shehu, a Senior Special Assistant to the President, Buhari condoled with the families who lost loved ones.

"I have received with sadness the news of this unfortunate incident which caused loss of lives and property. A misfortune of whatever scale anywhere is a tragedy to the country, and while the NNPC makes efforts to determine the cause of the incident, I send my deepest and profound sympathies to the victims, their families, government and people of Lagos State", the statement read in part.
