Buhari and Osinbajo to take coronavirus vaccine on Saturday

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will receive the coronavirus vaccine on live television on Saturday, March 6, 2021.

Executive Director/CEO, National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr Faisal Shuaib disclosed this on Monday, March 1, 2021, at the joint national briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on coronavirus, ahead of the arrival of Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines in the country on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha is among other prominent Nigerians to receive the vaccine.

Dr. Shuaib indicated that prominent Nigerians will join the frontline workers and critically ill persons to receive the first set of the vaccine to drive awareness on the virus and the vaccine administration in the country when it finally arrives.

He urged Nigerians not to be hesitant about the vaccines when they arrive.

Reports earlier stated that 70 per cent of Nigerians will be vaccinated by 2022.
