The president of the Apex Igbo social-cultural group worldwide was reacting to recent happenings in the country and various reactions which trails them

The President condemned in totality the usage of life ammunition against harmless protesters by some personnel of our security apparatus

He equally expresses the group displeasure over the unfortunate attack at the revered palace of the Oba of Lagos, HRM Alh. Rilwan Akiolu and the needles attacks on properties belonging to the government and private individuals in Lagos and Across some states in our dear country

Furthermore, he expressed his dismay on the killings that had taken place across the board in the past days in some states in Nigeria

He prayed that may we never witness such a set back again and commended the president of the federal republic of Nigeria over his acceptance to yield to the request of the teeming Nigeria youths who came out to demand and end to SARS brutality through his live broadcast last night

He, however, call on the youths to as well give peace a chance and allow the leadership of the country expedites action in meeting up the demands made by them

And that the youths must not allow their genuine interest and efforts over the past days be ruined by mischief makers who want to take advantage of the protest to sowing seeds of discord using tribal sentiments in maligning some individual ethnic group and to also use the platform as a means of looting people's shops and the destruction of properties

The calmly spoken president finally used the opportunity to call on every Nigerian to desist from false information at this time and lend a hand of fellowship to fellow Nigerian through avoidance of ethnocentric tendencies capable of disintegrating us as our beauty lies in our diversity
