While the political permutations continue to grow ahead of the 2027 general elections, Prophet Joshua Iginla of the Champion Royal Assembly has revealed the candidate who can give President Bola Tinubu a credible opposition in the polls.

Iginla, who was addressing congregants during a live Sunday service, said Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate on the ticket of the Labour Party, is the only candidate who will hand the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) a tough fight in 2027.

According to him, one of the top contenders for the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential ticket, only needs a northern deputy to give APC a strong fight.

He, however, warned Obi against deputizing any other candidate.

He said, “This is my political opinion. If we really want to give the opposition party a strong fight, put Peter Obi there, let him be deputized by any Northerner and then we will have a fight.

“Peter Obi, don’t, if you vice anybody, you have lost your political relevance. It’s better you go zero and leave them to do their things. The issue is so simple, you need patience if you want to go there”.
