Kogi Elections: I have voted - Dino Melaye tells reports

Dino Melaye, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) confirmed he had voted contrary to viral reports that he hadn't.

The gubernatorial candidate made this known when he spoke to pressmen in Kogi State.

The disgruntled candidate who had earlier called out the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after the emergence of pre-filled result sheets in all polling units located in the Ogori/Magongo local government area of the state commended the electoral body for its early mobilization of materials.

He also commended the security agencies for their visibility, stating that "we are suffocated with security".

"There is a lot of improvement in the mobilization of voting material to various polling units which was done on good time. I also want to commend the security agencies - in fact I will say we are suffocated with security. I will say that security is over-subscribed and there is adequate security across the board," he said.

"The security agencies have done very well though the problem is always at the collation center. At times you'll peaceful conduct of elections, peaceful process of electioneering but the problem is always at the collation center."
