Does he have electoral value? - Wike replies Momodu's sack comment

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, has called out Ovation Magazine publisher and columnist, Dele Momodu describing him as someone who doesn't have "electoral value".

This comes after Mr Momodu, the Director of Strategic Communications for the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council opined he would have fired Wike from the PDP if he had the power to do so.

Responding to the comments by Mr Momodu, Wike asked why he(Mr Momodu) claims to be from Edo State, yet, he didn't win for the PDP in his state.

“What can somebody like him say in PDP? Does he have electoral value? He said he is from Edo State. What did he win for the party in his state?” he queried.

He spoke yesterday on Channels Television's evening program “Politics Today”, as he urged the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP to suspend former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and immediate past Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal.

Wike said the actions of the duo were inimical to the progress of the main opposition party.

The FCT minister also said that Wednesday’s tribunal verdict shows the judges knew their onions and could not be intimidated to do what was not right.
