Osun guber: 2026 journey has begun — APC

Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), yesterday, said the journey to reclaim the state from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has commenced in earnest.

State secretary of the party, Olabisi Kamoru, who addressed party members at the state secretariat in Osogbo after a rally in celebration of the appointment of Senator Ajibola Basiru as the National Secretary of the party, described the appointment as an opportunity to reposition the party for the challenges ahead of 2026.

He advised party members to be attending meetings at units and wards and ensure that it is regular to address issues and deliberate on how to forge ahead.

“We are happy that the party considers us for the position of secretary. We are happy for the opportunity of the secretary and the minister. The two persons that were considered were nominated as governor and senator, but some people that pretended to be members of our party worked against them. God has now compensated Adegboyega Oyetola and Senator Ajibola Basiru with higher positions. I know that God will use them to lift the party again. The journey to 2026 has started now. We hereby advise members to be attending meetings.

“We appreciate our leaders President Bola Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande, and Adegboyega Oyetola for considering Basiru for this position,” he said.
