Social political activist, Deji Adeyanju has told Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to retire from politics.

According to him, Atiku should retire from politics and support a younger candidate from the party.

The former vice president is 76 years old but will be 80 years old in 2027 at the next election schedule.

“Atiku is convinced he won the election but doesn’t know how to prove it. Just stressing himself for nothing. He should retire from politics and support a younger person in 2027. Politics must not always be about self,” he wrote in a tweet.

Earlier, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja had reserved judgment in the petition filed by Atiku against the victory of President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The five-man panel, led by Justice Haruna Tsammani, reserved judgment for a date to be communicated to the parties.
