Ghanaians on social media have shared their thoughts on the 2023 General Elections as results trickle in from different states across the country.

Many onlookers from Nigeria's West African neighbours have expressed shock at the turn of events as Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is reportedly leading Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi's Labour Party.

This has surprised many Ghanaian social media users considering the buzz surrounding the former Governor of Anambra State on Twitter and other social media platforms.

Here is what some Ghanaians are saying:

_@ghanayesu: Twitter influencers chop Peter Obi’s money and Tinubu is still lashing him. Nigerians for you. ????????

_Obi doesn’t give money…..don’t be a fool tweeting what you don’t know about @Cover000 replies @ghanayesu

_@KwameOf41914304: Africans like voting for old ppls too much we do ourselves

_@Fadatmme1: This man is sick and I don’t think he going to continue with the 8 years even if he wins! His vice will be Nigeria president within the next 8 years.

_@Bra_Abbey1: what at all will this old man offer them ? africa needs to wise up and get young men into power!

_@10Nkansah: Human beings are bad.

The 2023 presidential election is the most keenly contested in Nigeria's history since the end of military rule in 1999.

The collation of results is still ongoing with the results of several states yet to be declared by INEC.
