Tinubu's aide speaks ahead of Wednesday’s election tribunal judgment

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale has stated that the President is unperturbed about the outcome of the Election Tribunal judgement on Wednesday, September 6.

Speaking on Channels TV's Politics Today show with Seun Okinbaloye, the special adviser noted that President Tinubu knows he won the February 25 presidential polls.

“He’s not worried simply because he knows he won the election,” Ngelale said.

President Tinubu who is currently attending the G-20 summit in New Delhi, India will be out of the country when the Tribunal delivers the judgement.

President Tinubu was declared the winner of the 2023 Elections after he polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, who garnered 6,984,520, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, who polled 6,101,533 votes.⁣

However, the opposition parties led by the PDP and the Labour Party believe the polls were marred by some voting irregularities.

Atiku and Obi for this reason petitioned the Tribunal to annul the outcome of the polls.
