A leading member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Reno Omokri has called out Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for delegating questions addressed to him to members of his team at a recent town hall meeting.

While is it unknown where Peter Obi was speaking, the video that has since emerged showed the former Anambra governor passing on a question addressed to him to a member of his team.

Omokri jabbed Peter Obi for his action especially after he called out Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the same action in Chatham House.

“After laughing at Tinubu, Obi copies him and delegates questions to members of his team,” Reno wrote.

Recall that Tinubu rather than answer questions bordering on Economy, health and security challenges instead assigned them to his surrogates.

Mr. Tinubu assigned the question on oil theft to one of his campaign spokespersons, Dele Alake; the question on security he assigned to Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna; and the question on youth development and inclusion to Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River.

Meanwhile, Chatham House has extended an invitation to Peter Obi to discuss his plans for Nigerians ahead of the next year’s presidential elections. This was disclosed in a post via the Twitter handle of the institute.

The event is part of a series of events and outputs examining Nigeria’s 2023 elections.

Obi, Tinubu, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are frontline candidates in the 2023 presidential race.

It wrote: “Nigeria’s 2023 Elections: In Conversation with @PeterObi. “The second of our events examining # Nigeria’s 2023 elections and political developments will take place on January 16 2023.”
