'They were friends, still friends and will remain friends' - Reactions to warm photo of Atiku, Tinubu in Abuja

Comments and reactions have trailed a viral photo of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his fierce opponent Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The two political stalwarts who go head-to-head in the elections in 2023 met at the airport lounge of the Nnamdi Azikwe Airport in Abuja on Monday, October 17.

The photo was made public by ace journalist and chairman of the Ovation Group of Companies, Dele Momodu on his Instagram page with the caption: "Leaders may disagree vehemently on policies but they remain friendly whenever and wherever they meet, like ATIKU ABUBAKAR and BOLA TINUBU just demonstrated this evening in Abuja..."

Atiku and Tinubu will lock horns in February in one of the most crucial elections in recent times. Both men who are not new to Nigeria's politics will hope the experience gathered over the years will help in swaying votes in their favor.

while both men may hold all the cards to victory, Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party has gathered momentum that many hope he can sustain during the electioneering period.
