The All Progressive Congress (APC) has been massively drawing new groups of citizens into their party in preparation for the 2023 general elections.

This progress by the party was achieved through its membership and revalidation exercise.

To the surprise of many, some People's Democratic Party (PDP) high-value members were also captured by the APC.

MyNigeria lists them below:

Gbenga Daniel

On Tuesday, February 16, one of the PDP chieftains, Gbenga Daniel registered with the APC, leaving his former party. The defection of Gbenga Daniel has kick-started the political permutation against future elections.

Governor Dave Umahi

The Ebonyi State governor defected to the APC on November 19, 2020. This was after he lost his grip with the PDP and was wondering what to do as the 2023 elections draw nearer.

Lt. General Azubuike Ihejirika

Lt. General Azubuike Ihejirika has joined the APC Abia State chapter.

He served as Chief of Army Staff for four years under ex-President Goodluck Jonathan and handed over to the immediate past Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Ibrahim Buratai, following his retirement from the military service.

Blessing Onuh

Blessing Onyeche Onuh, daughter of former Senate president, David Mark, has also joined the APC.

According to her, her former party has been enmeshed in a leadership crisis that has affected the cohesion and made members disenchanted hence her decision to leave the party.
