Supreme Court dismisses suit against Adeleke's candidature

The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by Dotun Babayemi against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The appeal was filed by Babayemi against the PDP gubernatorial primary election which produced the governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke.

In dismissing the appeal, the court held that Babayemi filed his appeal outside of the time allowable by the court.

The court ruled that Ademola Adeleke was validly elected at PDP primary election as its gubernatorial candidate for the Osun 2022 gubernatorial election.
