Statistician-General of Ogun State position based on merit- Abiodun

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has said that the position of Statistician-General of Ogun State was purely based on merit.

He made this statement at his Oke-Mosan Office in Abeokuta, yesterday.

The office of the Statistician-General is a new one and he selected Alao Olawale to be the pioneer officer of the position.

Promising to prioritize merit over sentiments, Dapo said, "this appointment of Mr. Alao Olawale whom I had never met before, was based solely on merit, all appointments to be made in this Government would be fair and follow due process."

"Alao David Olawale, who had his education up to Master's level in Abeokuta and Ibadan, is a member of many professional bodies, including the Nigeria Statistics Association," he added.
