A former governorship aspirant under the ticket of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Jumoke Anifowose has alleged that some Party Cbieftains are after her life.

She made this known in a press briefing in Ondo State on Thursday, January 28, 2021.

According to her, she has received death threats from some chieftains for refusing to drop her suit against Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

“They are after my life, I have been warned to stay away from the state, for now, they are planning to assassinate me, they know if I die the case would die,'' she said.

She noted that although the APC leaders have been pleading with her to drop the case, her refusal to comply has angered some chieftains of the party.

''They have come to beg me, it was when I refused that they began the plan to get rid of me. But their plans have been exposed to me, I know all of them,'' Madam Anifowose added.

The politician has, however, vowed to proceed with her case against the governor. She claims Rotimi's emergence as the governorship candidate of the party is flawed.

Anifowose was reported to have lost the case at the Federal High Court in Abuja but is planning to appeal the judgment.
