Resume or resign – Sowore to Akeredolu

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore has called on the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu to resume or resign.

According to a post on his verified X handle on Monday, Sowore called on Governor Akeredolu to either resume now or resign honourably due to his health challenges.

"Ondo State Gov. @RotimiAkeredolu should resume now or resign honorably due to his incapacitation."

It is common knowledge that the Senior Advocate of Nigeria turned governor of Ondo State has been having running issues with his health.

As a result, Akeredolu has been on medical vacation to Germany on more than one occasion.

When he finally came back to Nigeria, Akeredolu has not stepped foot in Akure, the Ondo State capital but has been governing the state from Ibadan Oyo State.

Also, his media aides has stated that the reason for the governor ruling from Ibadan is due to accommodation issues.

Also, Akeredolu and his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has been having a running battle as there is no love lot between both men.

The Ondo State House of Assembly is also seemingly behind Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in the pitched battle of supremacy between him and his deputy.
