Replace Wike with Amaechi - Reno Omokri advises PDP's leadership as Tinubu makes move on G-5 governors

Reno Omokri, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has advised the leadership of his party to convince former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Ameachi of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the party.

Omokri, who is a key member of the Atiku-Okowa campaign made the remarks after rife reports that the aggrieved governors of the party were in talks with Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling APC about endorsing his candidacy.

He said: My dear Peoples Democratic Party, let us do all we can to keep Wike in the PDP. But if, despite our best efforts, he endorses outside the party, let us extend a right hand of fellowship to Rotimi Amaechi. PDP created Amaechi. And we know he can’t coexist with Wike."

Recall that Daily Trust reported that the five aggrieved governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were set to meet with the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to inside sources that spoke to Daily Trust, barring any last-minute change, the meeting will be held in one of the European countries this week.

The source, who refused to give the exact date of the meeting, however, said it is being conveyed to firm up their deal on the 2023 presidency with the governors.

He said the G-5 governors, comprising Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia) and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) would after the meeting make their preferred presidential candidate known to the public.
