Peter Obi went into hiding after losing at Supreme Court? - LP campaign spokesman Tanko

Following the Supreme Court judgement affirming President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the February election, there have been speculations that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party has gone into hiding.

This was said after the apex court on Thursday, October 26, dismissed the appeals filed by Peter Obi and his counterpart, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party. The seven-men panel also said the appeal of the appellants lacked merit.

As Nigerians await to hear from Peter Obi on his stance after the Supreme Court verdict, some claims the former Governor’s silence shows he has gone into hiding due to his lose.

Reacting to the rumours, the spokesman of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council, Yunusa Tanko, denied the speculations.

According to him, Obi travelled out of the country long before the Supreme Court judgement notice arrived.
