Dr. Adefolaseye Adebayo, a popular Nigerian ENT/Head & Neck Surgeon at the General Hospital, Lagos Island, has been appointed the Southwest Zonal Coordinator of the OK Movement.
DAILY POST reports that OK Movement is a new political pressure group aimed at promoting the much anticipated Obi/Kwankwaso presidential ticket.
They are supporters of the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi and his Kano counterpart, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
While Obi is jostling for the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Kwankwaso is reportedly ready to deputize him.
Adefolaseye, in a post on her X handle on Monday night, accepted the appointment, stating that she is ready to “lead this task with dedication”.
She wrote, “By the grace of God, I wholeheartedly accept this responsibility on behalf of Nigerians in the region.
“I appreciate the faith and capacity you have seen in me, and I am ready to lead this task with dedication. I call on all Nigerians in the Southwest, from the state to the local government to the ward levels, to join the OK movement.
“Together, we can stand as one united in voice and purpose to bring forward the leadership of H.E Peter Obi and H.E Rabiu Kwankwaso.
“At this crucial moment, their vision represents the most suitable and effective path for Nigeria. We truly believe Nigeria will be OK”.
