Lagos APC fills vacant exco positions

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress on Wednesday, held a special congress to fill vacant positions in the executive committee of the party.

The positions became vacant following the appointment of the former secretary, publicity secretary and assistant legal adviser of the party by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The governor had appointed Dr Wale Ahmed, Mr Joe Igbokwe and Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka as commissioner and special advisers respectively in the third quarter of 2019.

Mr Lanre Ogunyemi, Mr Oluseye Oladejo and Mrs Abimbola Ladigbolu were elected unopposed as Secretary, Publicity Secretary, and Assistant Legal Adviser respectively by over 1,000 delegates from the 20 local government areas of Lagos State.

The state Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Tunde Balogun, said the party adopted the consensus option in getting replacement for the positions.
